Forecasting and Planning Tools for Alternative Fuels and Related Infrastructure

Summary

The final report provided an overview of the major computer models studied. Detailed comparisons were made of the U.S. DOE’s TAFVM, California’s CALCARS, Canada’s AFIM, and the Netherland’s Electric Vehicle Impact models. The Canadian alternative fuels infrastructure model (AFIM) was tested using Australian and New Zealand experience. The AFIM model was also used to predict electric vehicle demand in Finland.
